26th Scout Group Summer Camp Posted: 11 March 2010 22:35 The Scout Group has decided to take Cubs, Scouts and Explorers on a Summer Camp to Blackwell Court Scout Campsite, Birmingham. The camp is open to all members who are 8 years and over by June 2010. The camp will take place on Friday 2 July (leaving in the afternoon when the school comes off) and returning Thursday 8 July early evening. During the camp we will be visiting Alton Towers, Cadbury’s World and taking part in the following activities (plus more) - abseiling, 2G swing, grass sledging, kayaking. Activities are all being carried out by qualified instructors and under supervision. Form and letter can also be downloaded from the Parent Area. Joint Cub Packs Camp - 19th/21st March Posted: 02 March 2010 21:35 The Monday and Friday Cub Packs are having a Joint Camp on the 19th-21st March at Douglaswood. Forms for this have been handed out and should be returned ASAP. The form and letter can also be downloaded from the Parent Area. The cost for the camp is £25. MacKenzie Beavers (Friday) Camp - 5th/6th Feb Posted: 26 January 2010 22:30 The MacKenzie Beavers (Friday) are having a Camp on the 5th-6th February at Douglaswood. Forms for this have been handed out and should be returned no later than the 29th January at Beavers. The cost for the camp is £15. Winter Light Night Parade - Photos Posted: 26 January 2010 22:05 Our Group took part in the Winter Light Night Parade on Friday 27th November 2009. This was a huge success in terms of the turnout from the group which was pleasing to see. The parade started at the Dundee High School, past the McManus Museum, onto the Wellgate, then through the Murraygate and onto the High Street before reaching the City Square. The Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer paraded their lanterns which they made the previous weeks before the parade. Photos of the parade are found below -
