Scouts – 10.5- 14 years

Scouts, Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

Scouts meet weekly in the hall as a troop in which will be divided up in to patrols – where scouts lead and develop their team. Scouts very much take the lead on their own adventure, navigating, cooking, camping, surviving, and pioneering, tying together traditional with technology.

Scouts will have the chance to work towards many different badges that will give them many different skills and experiences. Activity badges range from Geocaching to Dragon boating, Challenge badges including Expedition to Team Leader challenge. Scouts over the 4.5 yrs. in the section will have the chance to obtain the Chief Scouts Gold Award – the highest award in Scouts.

These include Camping, Hill Walking, Raft building, Expeditions water activities, Grass Sledging, Tomahawk throwing, Archery the list is endless. being outdoors, Community Visits pretty much anywhere the scouts lead their programme.
