Squirrels – 4-6 years

Squirrels is the latest and youngest section offered in scouting. This allows the youngest to start their scouting adventure.

At present we don’t offer Squirrels here at the 26th Scout group, but we are wanting to offer it soon as we are nearly ready and we know there will plenty of eager young squirrels in our community ready for their start.

So what is it?

You’ll tell stories and play games. Get active and explore the outdoors. Become a brilliant builder and a super chef. There’s something for everyone – and that means that there’s something for you.

How will this work at 26th Scout Group?

We are hoping to introduce a parent led model , this means parents/carer will stay with their squirrel during the meeting, helping, guiding and being part of the fun. Parent led model also means parents get a chance to see and experience scouting to and lead part of the meeting, from a planned game, and show and tell or even making something.

Don’t worry we will have a leader there to support the smooth running.

Meeting Times

TBC – the meeting will last 30mins.

We would be very keen to speak with anyone involved in Early years or Primary education that would be willing to assist us with out new venture.
